By definition, a wholesaler sells to a retailer, and a retailer sells
to the public. So no, technically there is no such thing as a company
which sells at true wholesale prices to the public. However, there are
some companies which will lower their profit margins in the hopes of
selling higher volumes, so there are great deals to be had in the jewelry
industry.
What you need to look out for, however, are companies which sell lower
quality items and try to convince you that the price is low because
you are getting a great deal, instead of because the gold weight or
stone quality is low. Buying jewelry from someone you trust is always
worth it - you can't put a value on the peace of mind you'll get from
knowing the jewelry you are wearing is quality merchandise purchased
at a fair market price.
