Boardgaming is Alive and Well, and Hiding in America
by Larry Levy of HuzonFirstGames.com
Probably everyone has played a boardgame at least once in their
life. Maybe you haven't played one since you were a kid, or since your
kids reached adolescence. That's not too surprising, given the way they
seem to play: roll the dice, move your piece, wait for your next move,
on and on for the next two or three hours. Lots of luck, lots of yawns,
and not much thought. No wonder computer games and rental movies have
replaced boardgames in the battle for how we spend our free time.
Well, things have changed a bit over the last ten years. If you
still think Monopoly represents the state of the art in boardgaming,
you have a pleasant surprise in store. Check out the following links
to see why more and more people are having fun sitting around a table
playing games!
